We have been putting this product to the test for about 2 years and have used it more than 30 times. It is absolutely the best over the fire grilling device we have every used. The driving stake which holds up the grill, has been used in dirt, mud, and gravel and makes this cooker the most flexible way to cook over any type of fire. The grill surface has held up surprisingly well with just a wire brush cleaning after use. The unique arm setup makes for raising and lowering the grill depending on the fire temp a easy task.
All of the components are super heavy duty and but for maybe the grill surface would easily last many generations.
Our only issue was the lack of a good storage bag and we found the Lizard sack by Travel Chair works perfect. The Lizard sack is made just as well as the grilling unit. A perfect solution!
